Let syrup cook for 2 minutes do not lift lid.

Gently swirl the pan to evenly distribute heat.

Over medium-high heat, bring the sugar mixture to a boil.

Combine sugar, corn syrup, and remaining water in a pot.

Hold in refrigerator for up to 30 minutes.
